Before the film’s score, there was a wind-carved sketchbook. Nausicaä: Image Album “Bird Person” gathers Joe Hisaishi’s early themes for the world of the Valley—pieces written to Miyazaki’s manga, performed with luminous synths, soft percussion, and small ensemble colors. “Legend of the Wind” opens like sunrise over dunes; “Mehve” glides on airy arpeggios; “Sea of Decay” hums with low drones and choral haze. On the flip, “Ohmu” pulses with stately, creature-like gravity before the closing “Bird Person (Nausicaä’s Theme)” lifts everything into clear sky. This is the 2018 Japanese reissue on Studio Ghibli Records (TJJA-10008) with obi, faithfully presenting the concept album that seeded the later soundtrack. Condition VG+: jacket and vinyl kept clean with only light handling [inferred]. A serene, imaginative listen that plays like pencil lines turning to wind.
